Buena Vista Regional Medical Center is a Joint Commission accredited facility with a 50 year history of providing premier health care to the people in the region. 400 employees from 40 area communities, staff this facility. A 10 bed Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit provides a unique service for a specific population. Our 11 primary care physicians, an internist, radiologist, orthopaedic surgeon and two general surgeons offer quality, compassionate care in cooperation with more than 50 specialists who bring 22 specialty services to the BVRMC Specialty Clinic.

Kallmer Education Center

The Kallmer Education Center compliments the unique Center for Women, offering clinical, diagnostic and educational services as well as an impressive Resource Center with over 1200 books, tapes and videos on a variety of health-related topics. BVRMC was the first in the state of Iowa to offer digital mammography and the recent upgrades in the Center for Breast Health continue to set us apart from other facilities.

Recent construction projects have included an expanded Rehabilitation Services area with a one of a kind aquatic therapy pool and the current project will result in a significant increase in the surgery/endoscopy area as well as other patient-friendly amenities. The overall commitment to creating a Healing Environment is apparent throughout the facility.
